Día de la tierra is a celebration of the earth and a welcome extended from the Bensley agrihood initiative to the agrihood site. Join us for live music, indigenous children’s games, guided conversation to meet the team and the first free workshop in our 6 part permaculture education series.

Shenandoah Permaculture Intensive
This intensive is hosted by Shenandoah Permaculture Institute and students of the 2023 cohort will be using the Bensley agrihood Incubator farm as an investigation site to learn about functional permaculture!

RVA Goats visited the agrihood with 24 hard working goats, sheep, and one guard dog. The goats and sheep cleared the learning garden site of vegetation in under a week!
The goats and sheep also left a generous amount of fertilizer! We are very thankful to the hardworking goats, sheep, dogs, and humans that made this visit possible
Virginia Community Voice hosted a workshop for equitable community engagement detailing some of the steps involved in creating a community centered project. and gave participants an opportunity to explore their own influences
